A sharia court in Kano has sentenced a 63-year-old HIV positive man, Ubale Saidu Dotsa who confessed to inducing a 12-year-old student after which he raped her at Dotsa Village in Kumbotso, Kano.
The convict who has been living with the virus for over two-years now was sentenced to death by
stoning for raping and infecting the minor with the
HIV bug.
Report has it that the convict lost his first and second wives to same virus in 2011 of which they both died at six months
interval.
Delivering the judgment, Khadi Faruq Ahmed further ordered that N36
million be paid as compensation to the parents of Hauwa Mohammed if
their daughter eventually dies.
What a trauma for a growing child.
