Falana Gives Interior Minister Abba Moro 7 Days To Refund Applicants’ N700 Million

In a seven-day ultimatum letter written to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Abba Moro by Lagos lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, Mr. Falana has demanded that Abba Moro should refund N700 Million which was collected from job seekers who applied for employment in the Nigerian Immigration Service.

He gave the minister seven days to make the refund or face a lawsuit.

The letter reads:
“We have confirmed that you extorted the sum of N700, 000,000.00k (Seven Hundred Million Naira only) from hapless Nigerians who recently applied for employment in the Ministry of Interior.

As there was no plan to employ the majority of the applicants, the said sum of N700, 000,000.00k was obtained by your good self under false pretenses.

In spite of your official negligence which led to the tragic death of 20 of the applicants, you stated that the Federal Government had not ordered you to refund the said sum of N700, 000,000.00k."
