Trademore Estate, Airport Road, Abuja |
Yesterday's rain was so heavy than no fewer than 50 houses got flooded at the Trademore Estate,
along Airport Road in Abuja.
According to the Estate Manager, Mrs Edwina Aniakor, the flooding was
caused by resident’s continuous dropping of refuse around the drainage,
which then resulted in a blockage. She said:
“Only a few houses were affected and management has decided
to clear the drains and to maintain strict measures within the Estate
to avoid future occurrence."
I bet you to always be grateful for things like because the hurricane and storms faced in the US presently is something to weep for! Oh, how lucky Nigeria is. Our own disasters in this country are man-made and not natural!
