Former Governor of Oyo state, Governor Rashidi Ladoja lost his son, Adebola Ladoja in a ghastly motor accident which occurred yesterday (May 29, 2014) at about 3:30pm on the Eko Bridge, Lagos.
He was driving towards the Lagos Island in a Volkswagen Golf saloon car with Lagos registration number- AKD 107
CJ when a DAF truck driven by
one Osaghai Justice Eko, lost control, hit the median in the middle of
the road and crushed Adebola’s vehicle. Adebola was said to have died at the spot and his corpse was taken to the Lagos Island General Hospital mortuary for autopsy while the truck driver was arrested.
According to an eyewitness; “It took several hours before those who came to the rescue of the victim to break into the vehicle. He was trapped behind the wheel with blood gushing out of his head,”

Confirming the incident, the Lagos state PPRO, Ngozi Braide, said
that the victim died on the spot, while his remains had been taken to
the Lagos Island General Hospital for autopsy. She added that the police
has already commenced investigation into the incident.
