Boko Haram Kidnaps Two Prominent Emirs

Two traditional rulers (The Emir of Uba, Ismaila Mamza and the Emir of Gwoza, Idrisa Timta)  in Borno State who were elevated to First Class traditional rulers in January have been kidnapped by members of the insurgent group, Boko-Haram.

It was learnt that the said kidnap occurred in the early hours of today at about 10:00am near Shaffa while they were travelling to Gombe to attend the funeral of the Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar, who died on Tuesday evening at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, where he was undergoing treatment for cancer.
