A man in Rivers has been arrested after reports that he molested a a three- year old nursery school student.
Obioma Benson was apprehended by the police in Port Harcourt, the state capital, for allegedly inserting his finger into the little girl’s vagina.

The unidentified child suffered injuries which were discovered by her mother and she fingered Benson, her “school uncle” for the crime.

The Sun reports:
The suspect, who is currently in police custody, is said to be a security man working with Beryl Educational Nursery and Primary School, at 16, Ovim, Mile 3, Diobu, in the state capital. Saturday Sun gathered that this latest incident is not the first time such an unholy act reportedly happened in the school and by the same suspect.
According to an impeccable source, Benson always accompanies the victim to urinate in the school and in the process would use his finger to penetrate her. It was gathered that the mother of the little girl, Sylverline, while bathing her on Wednesday, observed that her daughter was complaining of abdominal pains, and discovered that her private part has been tampered with.
The source said the victim told her mother that it was her “school uncle” that caused it.
“The girl’s mother took her to school. At the school, the security men were all brought out and the girl identified the suspect. But, he denied the allegation. He was arrested by the police and taken to Iloabuchi Police Station”, the source disclosed.
However, Benson was said to have admitted to the crime and is now in police custody. It was gathered that police, yesterday, gave the child’s family their report and asked to take her to the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMH) for medical report.
Meanwhile, the girl’s father, Mr. Jeffery Nwocha, has vowed to follow the matter to the end, expressing disappointment at the school management.
When the headmistress of the school, simply identified as Louisa, was contacted for reaction, she denied knowledge of the incident.
