PDP Accuses Amaechi Of Kidnapping

The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, of being behind the abduction of the Chairman of the party in Port Harcourt Local Government Area, Mr. Ikechi Chinda, a former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Chinyere Igwe and Mr. Allwell Ihunda.

State Party Chairman of the PDP , Felix Obuah, who spoke with newsmen at the state PDP secretariat on Thursday, alleged that Amaechi and the All Progressives Congress-led government were responsible for the kidnap of three party members at 8pm around the Eagle Island axis of Port Harcourt.

Obuah said, “After a very careful examination of the circumstances surrounding the abduction of our party leaders, the party believes that the abduction was masterminded by Amaechi and the APC-led government in the state”. He said he wondered why Amaechi was playing politics with the lives of citizens of the State.

Reacting to the abduction of the three PDP members, the state Commissioner of Police said the State Police Command was aware of the incident and was working round the clock to ensure they were released.
