STAYING STRONG
As
a child, Arnold, who is 3'2", dreamt of falling in love and getting
married. Together, the couple has tackled years of fertility issues in
their devotion to start a family, but their bond has helped them stay
strong. "Being a little person, everything is a struggle, and it is
wonderful when you achieve something you really wanted," Arnold,
reflecting on her quest to find love, told PEOPLE in 2011.
THE ROAD TO PARENTHOOD
More than a year after the couple's surrogate
suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2011, Arnold and Klein found joy again when they
adopted a 3-year-old boy with dwarfism named William. "I walk into a room and see him, and I still can't believe he's ours,"
Klein told PEOPLE
in April 2013, a month after announcing their new addition. Arnold
added: "We are so deeply in love with him already. It was meant to be."
THE MORE, THE MERRIER
The couple's family continues to grow, and in May 2013,
they announced plans to adopt a 19-month-old girl, Zoey, from India. Months later in October,
they finally received approval to bring their daughter home and
united as a family in India. "Being a parent is so much better than I expected,"
Arnold told PEOPLE earlier in the year.
THEIR LIVES TODAY
Now,
The Little Couple is beginning life as a family of four. "We've dealt with prejudice and many challenges,"
Arnold told PEOPLE earlier this year. "I feel very lucky and fortunate that I have the wonderful life I have."
