The biggest market in Port Harcourt, Rivers State; the popular Mile 1 Market went up in flames in the early hours of today (2:00am) with properties worth millions of Naira being consumed.Though the details of the cause of the fire has not been ascertained,report has it that this is the third time the market is being gutted in less than 10 years... Most traders in the market were seen wailing and crying over their losses
I remember the sad memories of close friends and families when it happened in 2004. A family friend having stocked her shop with many bags of crayfish for the Xmas sales ended up loosing a whole fortune on the investment made in same. It led to tears then sickness and finally she died! #bad memories#
