Secondary School Student Stabs Friend Over Girlfriend

Please what do secondary school children know about dating? Anyways, here it is; On Wednesday, March 19, a student of Holy Michael Secondary School, Ikirun, Osun State stabbed his friend/school mate with a broken bottle during a clash over a junior secondary school female student.

The student who stabbed his friend, was one of the students from Akinorun Grammar School, Ikirun, who were  merged with mission school as a result of the school reclassification programme by the state government.

As a result of the gruesome site, students and teachers, fled the school premises (You for stay before!). Even the student who stabbed his friend also fled after the attack. However, some students of the school have been arrested  in order to assist  the police in their investigation on the matter.

The victim, who was stabbed in the chest, was immediately rushed to a private hospital, but was rejected. He  was  later taken to  a government owned hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

At the time of filing the report, policemen from Ikirun divisional headquarters were seen mounting security within the school premises to maintain law and order.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Osun State Police Command, Mrs Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident, but said the matter was being  investigating  by the police. She assured that the fleeing suspect would be apprehended.
