Wazobia FM presenter, Akas Baba, shot and kidnapped

There are reports that a popular presenter for Wazobia FM has been kidnapped in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The kidnap of the presenter who is known on air as Akas Babas has been confirmed by his wife, Candy Akatakpo. She stated that her husband was attacked at about 2am today at his Rumuekini residence in Port Harcourt in the presence of his family.

According to her, Akas Baba, whose real name is Anthony Akatakpo was first shot on his leg before being taken away by his abductors in a Mitsubishi Endeavor SUV.


In a report by Daily Post, she said in an early morning broadcast that: “If you have any information that could help secure his release, please contact the nearest Police station. You can also call or send text to 08099930063.”
