Some Chibok Girls Are Pregnant, Others May Never Return – Obasanjo

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo seems to know so much about the abducted Chibok girls. During his interview on the Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), he revealed that some of the abducted girls are pregnant while others may never return again. He further stated that the girls might have been separated and kept in different locations. (I share same idea with you sir). Obasanjo's speech to the BBC:

“I have ways of reaching them, (Boko Haram) but I have not been given the go ahead."

“I believe that some of them will never return. We will still be hearing about them many years from now, some will give birth to children of the Boko Haram members, but if they cannot take care of them in the forest, they may release them”

 

President Olusegun Obasanjo blamed the Federal Government for not giving him the liberty to intervene in the abduction of the Chibok girls. 

Day 60 and we still have not found our girls!

World Cup Opening Ceremony Showcases Wrong Nigerian Flag + See Photos From The Opening Ceremony

During the 2014 world cup opening ceremony which began yesterday in Brazil, it was observed that the organizers displayed the wrong flag while announcing Nigeria.

Rather than use our vertical stripes of Green White Green flag, it projected the horizontal stripes of Orange White Green flag of Niger with an orange circle on the white in the middle.

You will recall that this is not the first time it is happening. The wrong flag was also displayed in the 2012 London Olympics, a women soccer match between North Korea and Colombia was delayed because the organizers showed the South Korean flag while introducing the North Korean team.

But why should such error occur at this time even when Niger did not qualify for the World Cup? Though the two neighbouring African nations; Nigeria and Niger share a 450-mile border and maintain friendly relations, the "ia" should always make a difference na. Kilode?.

Man Abducts Employer’s Child Over Unpaid Salaries In Ondo

 

Because of her father's refusal in payment of salaries, 20-year-old Grace Olusola was abducted by a 38-year-old male domestic staff of her father, Oke Omoloye. She was deprived of her liberty and also assaulted as she sustained injuries while being taken through the bush. According to Sergent Zedekiah Orogbemi (prosecutor of the case).

This incident which occurred on the Okitipupa-Igbokoda Road at about 11:00am on Monday, March 10, 2014 was heard in an Okitipupa Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State before Magistrate Funso Akintoye where a suspect who had been sacked abducted his employer's daughter in order to frighten her parents into paying his salaries.

On Tuesday, Oke Omoloye who is standing trial in court was arraigned on a two-count charge of abduction and assault. According to Orogbemi, the offence committed by the accused and two others at large contravenes sections 355 and 365 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State, 2006.

The accused, of no fixed address was however, granted bail in the sum of N200,000 and two sureties in like sum. One of which must be a civil servant on grade level 14 while the other must be a renowned trader. According to the Magistrate, both sureties must reside within the court's jurisdiction.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

The case till June 24 for further hearing.

24-Year-Old Emerges As UNILAG’s Best Graduating PhD Student

 

Pictured above is a genius who not only attained a PhD degree at age 24 but emerged as the best graduating PhD student in the Department of Mathematics, University of Lagos.

24-year Hallowed Oluwadara was yesterday named one of the youngest Nigerians with such degree. He was able to attain such level of education with the help of the scholarship that was granted to him by the Deeper Life Bible Ministry and he says he remains ever grateful to the General Overseer of the church, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi. 

He dedicates his achievement to God Almighty, his parents and many other individuals and organisations, especially the church, which he said made his academic journey a smooth one, particularly with the provision of fund. He said: 

“I did not have cause to work because I was sponsored by the church and I lacked nothing which made my concentration much easier. This award particularly is a victory for the field of Mathematics especially as many people do not believe it is a field that could transform the world."

“I hope in the nearest future, I can achieve the goal of securing another PhD in Physics since my other degrees had always been in the two fields.”

Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Senator Dahiru Awaisu Kuta has been reported dead.

Until his death, he was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and assumed office as a federal lawmaker on May 29, 2007.

He was aged 65 (April 16, 1949).May his soul rest in peace.

Man Stabs Ex-Girlfriends New Lover, Cuts Out His Heart, Eats It With Fork And Knife

According to Vanguard, a report of Thursday reveals a gruesome incident of  jealousy as a lover in South Africa stabbed a rival, cut out his heart and ate it with a knife and fork.

Police spokesman, Frederick Van Wyk while speaking to Cape Times revealed that it was the neighbours in Cape Town’s Gugulethu township (incident scene) who alerted the police. He said:

“On the scene they found a suspect, a Zimbabwean national, busy eating the heart of a human with a knife and fork,”

"The woman at the centre of the love triangle told police that her former lover had visited the house where she was living with her current partner and they had chatted together before he gave her money to buy liquor and she left."

When she returned she found her partner, 62-year-old Mbuyiselo Manona, had been stabbed" Van Wyk said.

Neighbours alerted by the commotion said they had peered through the house windows to see the man cutting out Manona’s heart and eating it. One of the neighbours said:

“The whole situation was crazy. We were shouting at him to stop, but he did not listen,”
“Even when the police got here… the guys were scared to go in. They had to call for back-up.
“You can’t really blame them — how do you go into a room with someone dripping another person’s blood out of his mouth?”

Western Cape deputy police commissioner Sharon Jephta said the motive for the murder was “definitely a love triangle”.

The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in court soon.(AFP)

Man Breaks Record On The Longest Ice Bath, Stays In Ice For Almost 2Hours

Before i say anything, let me commend this man for doing something i can not do. After all, a saying goes; "if you can not beat them, hail them". 

55-year-old father of five, Wim Hof from Holland has broken a record of longest ice bath. He stayed in ice for 1 hour, 52 minutes and 42 seconds and came out alive! As a result of this achievement, he has been nicknamed "Iceman" and he is so proud of it.

It has been revealed by experts that Wim Hof's brain was able to send messages to other parts of his body, telling them to keep warm hence his long stay in ice with no complication thereafter. Wim Hof the iceman said:

 

"I feel like I can control my own body as if I have a thermostat that I can adjust when I need to. The most challenging record was climbing Everest in just a pair of shorts.Swimming beneath the ice and not finding the hole back was quite a frightening experience too.But I'm confident enough because I know what my body can cope with.It is a lifestyle that I have chosen to take therefore I train everyday wherever I am.I don't bother with gyms, I just workout where I happen to be whether it's in the garden or at home.It's a great honour to have the nickname of Iceman, it makes me feel very proud of my achievements."

Teacher Joy Morsi Allegedly Raped Student Who Took A Date To Prom

39-year-old gym teacher of a NY high school, Joy Morsi (pictured above) allegedly had sex with  her 16-year-old male student over a seven-week period since June last year. This activity took place in the basement, a gym closet and other locations inside Grover Cleveland High School.
 

Joy Morsi whose husband also works in the same school began her sexual relationship with the victim after she sent sexually explicit selfies to him and asked if he was a virgin. However, jealousy crept in when Joy discovered that her young lover was to take a date to prom. She allegedly raped him out of anger, insisting that the age consent in New York is 17 years old.

 

Joy got busted after the victim told a fellow student who told her mom that works in the school system.

Many students who spoke to the media about the allegations expressed surprise, but a senior (Bianca Racz) at the school told the Daily News the two were seen hanging out regularly. He said;

"I see them together all the time,” 
“It’s not like they were sexual and touched each other, but they used to hug and stuff in the halls all the time.”

Morsi is charged with third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sex act.

Morsi has been put on unpaid leave while the criminal investigation continues.

Dora Nkem Akunyili Dies At Age 59

The ongoing CONFAB has lost another of its member; Dora Nkem Akunyili who died at about 10am this morning in an Indian hospital where she was receiving treatment for cervical cancer which she had battled with for two years. She was born in Makurdi, Benue State in July 14, 1954.

Until her death, she was a member of the ongoing National Conference, ex-minister of information and a former Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of Nigeria.

As a pharmacist, she had gained international recognition and won hundreds of awards for her work in pharmacology, public health and human right.

May her soul rest in peace.

My Son Is A Thief, Angry Dad Tells Judge

According to PM News, it was heard in a magistrate's court sitting in Ejibo, Lagos State were an angry father; Mike Udoma who has been frustrated by his son's stealing habit informed the Magistrate that his son was a thief and therefore, pleaded with the court to jail his son; Macaulay Udoma according to law.

The embittered father further told the court that his son had been a terror in their family and always stole any money he sees in the house irrespective of where it is hidden! He also added that he wants his son to be jailed so that his family can once again have peace as they have been going through trauma over the years as a result of Macaulay's theft habit. He said:

" “I have been wondering how he locates where there is money in the family house. No matter where you hide money, he will locate and steal it,”

Macaulay's arrest was ordered by his father when he burgled into his office at 7 Ona-Aro Street, Idimu, Lagos and stole his different bank cheque booklets. He was arrested by the police at Idimu Division and was charged to court where he is facing a five-count charge of stealing under the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.

Macaulay who is a 24-year-old Nigerian citizen was arraigned before the court and he pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri. 

According to his father, Macaulay chose to be a commercial driver over education while other of his siblings are presently pursuing their education.

200 Killed In Boko Haram (Dressed In Military Uniforms) Attack In 4 Villages in Borno

 

Borno State of Nigeria has become the most attacked state recently. The Boko-Haram insurgents who invaded four villages; Goshe, Attagara, Agapalawa and Aganjara in Gwoza LGA of Borno State were said to have dressed in military uniforms, pretending to be soldiers and leaving no fewer than 200 people killed!

It was actually a double day attack which occurred on Sunday and Monday respectively. After the shooting of nine worshippers in a church in Attagara Village during a church service last Sunday, information dribbled around the neighbourhood that the insurgents might attack again so the villagers informed the military personnel in Gwoza town but were not taken seriously, even though the soldiers promised to follow up on the report. A resident of Gwoza; Ngalamuda Ibrahim said:

“When the attackers came, most residents of the community actually thought they were military personnel. It didn’t occur to them they are Boko Haram. Over 200 corpses are laying in the villages now yet to be buried,” 

Another resident of Attagara who lost four of his younger brothers during the Monday carnage said:

“They came in military Hilux; and we all thought they were the soldiers that we earlier reported that the insurgents might attack us.”

“When they came in over 10 Hilux vehicles, we all felt relieved that at last the military had arrived, so we went to them and they told us that ‘we are soldiers and we are here to protect you all.’

“They then urged all of us to converge at a particular spot at the centre of the village; we all complied; but when they saw that a sizeable number of us had converged, they began to shout ‘Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar’ on top of their voices, then they began to fire at the people continuously for a very long time until all that gathered were all dead”, 

“I lost four of my blood brothers in the massacre”,  

“I was lucky to escape because I was not very close by when the gunmen started shooting at our people, I was going round to inform people that the soldiers had come and they wanted to address us; I managed to escape through villages in Adamawa State and later made it to Maiduguri.”

Passenger Caught With 66 birds Sewn To His Trouser, Close To His Genital

A reader of this blog sent me a mail and said i construct my grammar like a lawyer. Lol. So in plain grammar; Pictured above is a photo evidence of a man who sewed dozens (66) of rare species of frightening birds inside his trouser. Some of the birds were sewn with their beaks sealed so as to prevent them from singing aloud. He was said to be boarding a US plane at Ignacio Agramonte International Airport, Cuba when a custom officer noticed the unusual and suspicious body language of this man and the bulge of his trouser.

Meanwhile, report has it that the lucky man almost scaled through that plane when the metal detector didn't pick up any signal of the contraband.  However, while he was questioned and taken to a private room for thorough body search, he said; " What I have here is a pigeon that is a gift for my grandson" 

 

Further investigation revealed that he probably was exporting those birds to sell them as they are said to worth many thousands of pounds.
