N15m Scandal: I’ve learnt my lesson – Jim Iyke

Jail beckoned on controversial Nollywood star Jim Iyke but mother nature was kind and so, the Imo state born actor was saved.
Thanks to his parents who rescued him from a determined  Habiba Abubakar who wanted the tough talking actor jailed for allegedly conning her out of N15million.
Jim Iyke’s parents had gone with cap in hand to beg the Abuja big girl to let by gone be while the case got settled out of court. Pronto, Habiba withdrew the case in a show of respect to Jim’s parents.
But the dust of the rumble had hardly settled down when a bitter Habiba was quoted as lamenting to close friends that the stress and strain she suffered as a result of the matter, forced her to the surgeon’s table and knives, to take away the extra pounds and wrinkles she’d piled up during the period.
*Jim Iyke
When our correspondent visited Untamed Closet, Jim Iyke’s fashion house, it was a remorseful Jim who disclosed he’s learnt his lesson.
“I’ve learnt to be silent over the matter. It would also be reasonable to apologize to Habiba for pushing her into embarking on plastic surgery”, he said.
The actor who admitted to meeting  Habibaba through his sister affirmed  he made jokes out of Habiba’s tummy and shape, but had on no occasion advised Habiba to do any kind of plastic surgery. According to Jim Iyke “I’m playful and jovial, and because I can make fun out of anything, I had jokingly complained about Habiba’s size sometime in my family house. I crack the same jock even with my sister, and we all laugh over it.
I don’t think the claim you alleged Habiba is making is actually true. How can she be claiming that I pushed her into the pain of plastic surgery? I really don’t have anything personal with her. My sister said Habiba told her something of sort, but I never believed it.
I thought it was one of those gossips. Hearing it from you actually confirms that she said something related to that. But would you believe that I will advise a married woman against her wish to go for surgery? If she went through any kind of stress as a result of that, then I’m sorry”.

UNILAG: Why Jonathan should reverse himself on name change

Mr Wahab Shittu is a lecturer in the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos and  a private prosecutor with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. In this interview, he speaks passionately on why the proposed renaming of the University of Lagos after Chief Moshood Abiola should be reversed. Excerpts:
WHAT is your stance on the renaming of the University of Lagos after Chief Moshood Abiola?
I have the highest respect for the office and person of the President. Let me also say that I recognise the imperative of honouring late Chief M.K.O Abiola for the enormous sacrifice he made on June 12 and in preserving our democratic experiment. I believe that he deserves to be immortalised.
I also believe that all operators in a democracy must behave as democrats and that democracy is noted for certain fundamentals. These fundamentals include due process, rule of law, constitutionalism, supremacy of the constitution, respect for fundamental rights, respect for process and procedures, transparency and accountability, zero tolerance for corruption.
Presiednt Jonathan
All these are encapsulated in good governance. So I believe that under a democracy, the underlining philosophy of democracy is that sovereignty lies with the people and that all actions should be carried out with the people in mind. The renaming of UNILAG by presidential proclamation without consultation with all the stakeholders including the Senate fails to recognise the fact that UNILAG was created by an Act of Parliament.
And as such, for you to be able to tamper with an Act of Parliament, you have to do so by a constitutional amendment. This process ought to be carried out and approved before the President announces such a change, if necessary. But as it is now, what has happened is the subversion of due process, clearly the subversion of rule of law and the subversion of constitutionalism.
Legislative authority
You don’t put the cart before the horse. So, given these circumstances, what the National Assembly ought to do in order to preserve their legislative authority and enhance the doctrine of separation of powers, is to throw out the bill because the legislature is not a rubberstamp of the executive. Abiola himself will not be happy to see that in an attempt to immortalise him due process was subverted.
He himself said you cannot shave a man’s head behind his back. Using that analogy, how do you shave the head of UNILAG behind the back of UNILAG?My advice to Mr President is that he should be a listening President. If he reverses back to the previous name and then looks elsewhere to immortalise Abiola, it will not be a sign of weakness. Indeed, it would be a demonstration of high statesmanship.
Do you agree with some that some other university or stadium should be used to immortalize Abiola?
That argument overlooks the fact that Abiola was a multidimensional person who touched lives in several ways. He was the pillar of sports.  If you don’t want to name any edifice that has any sports significance to his memory, why not name the Eagle Square in Abuja after him, or why not name a democratic institute after him, or why not declare June 12 M.K.O Abiola Day and then organise activities yearly around that date with federal government participation and approval?
What would it cost the University of Lagos if the university bears the name Moshood Abiola?
Well, it will cost a lot in the sense that University of Lagos has become a brand independent of the history of Abiola. Abiola has its own independent history. UNILAG also has its own independent history. You don’t use one history to supplant another history without disastrous consequences. If you rename it, it is like killing the brand, a brand that is known nationally and internationally with its own peculiarities.

FAITH IN GOD!!

FAITH IN GOD: Take time to read
and to share with your friends.
Somewhere in Milaor, Camarines Sur, there
lived a fourth grader boy who would follow
this route to school everyday: He has to cross
the rugged plains and cross the dangerous
highway where vehicles are recklessly
driving to and from.
Once past this highway, the boy would take a
short cut, passing by the Church every
morning just to say Hi to God, and faithfully
say his, "Magandang umaga po" in Bicol
dialect. He was faithfully being watched by a
Priest who was happy to find innocence so
uplifting in the morning,
"Kamusta, Andoy? Papasok ka na?"
"Opo padre ... "he would flash his innocent
grin, the priest would be touched. He was so
concerned that one day he talked to Andoy.
"From school...", he advised "Do not cross the
highway, you can pass through the Church
and I can accompany you to the other side of
the road...that way I can see that you are
home safe...."
"Thank you father ... "
"Why don't you go home ... why do you stay
in this church right after school?"
"I just want to say 'Hi' to my friend, God," and
the priest would leave the boy to spend time
beside the altar, talking to himself, but the
priest was hiding behind the altar to listen to
what this boy has to say to his heavenly
FATHER.
"You know my math exam was pretty bad
today, but I did not cheat although my
seatmate is bullying me for notes... I ate one
cracker and drank my water, Itay had a bad
season and all I can eat is this cracker.
Thank you for this! I saw a poor kitten who
was hungry and I know how he feels so I
gave my last cracker to him ... funny but I am
not that hungry.
Look, this is my last pair of slippers ...I may
have to walk barefoot next week, you see
this is about to be broken... but it is okay....at
least I am still going to school.... Some say we
will have a hard season this month, some of
my classmates have already stopped going to
school .... please help them get to school
again, please God?
....Oh, you know, Inay hit me again, it is
painful, but I know this pain will pass away,
at least I still have a mother.... God, you want
to see my bruises? I know you can heal
them.... Here... here and .... oh ...blood ....I guess
you knew about this one huh? Please don't
be mad at Inay, she is just tired and she
worries for the food in our table and my
schooling that is why she hits us....Oh, I think
I am in love ... there's this pretty girl in my
class, her name is Anita ... do you think she
will like me? Anyway, at least I know you will
always like me, I don't have to be anybody
just to please you, you are my very best
friend! Hey your birthday is two days from
now!!! Aren't you excited? I am! Wait till you
see, I have a gift for you . but it is a surprise!
I hope you will like it! Oooops, I have to go ..."
then he stood up and calls out, "Padre, padre,
I am finished talking to my friend ....
youcan accompany me to the other side of
the road now"
This routine happens everyday. Andoy never
fails. Father Agaton shares this every Sunday
to the people in his church because he has
not seen a very pure faith and trust in God, a
very positive look at negative situations.
One Christmas day, Father Agaton was sick so
he could not make it in the Church, he was
sent to the hospital. The Church was left to 4
manangs who would chant the rosary in
1000 miles per hour, would not smile and
would always find fault in what you do, they
were also very well versed in cursing if you
irritate them! They were kneeling, saying
their kilometric rosary when Andoy, coming
from his Christmas party, playfully dashed in.
"Hello God! I ......"
"P----!! (a curse) bata ka!! Alam mo nang may
nagdadasal!! Alis!!"
Poor Andoy was so terrified, "Where's Father
Agaton? He is supposed to help me cross the
street ... and to be able to cross the street I
will have to pass by the back door of this
church .not only that, I have to greet Jesus. It
is His birthday, I have a gift right here....
" Just as he was about to get the gift out of
his shirt, the manang pulled his shirt and
threw him out of the church. "Susmaryosep!!!
(does the sign of the cross fervently) Alis
kang bata ka, kung hindi matatamaan ka!!!
So the boy had no choice but to cross the
dangerous side of the road in front of the
church. He crossed. A fast moving bus came
in.
There was a blind curve. The boy was
protecting his gift inside his shirt, so he was
not looking. There was so little time. Andoy
died on the spot. A lot of people crowded the
poor boy, the body of a lifeless young boy ...
Suddenly, out of nowhere a tall man in a pure
white shirt and pants, a face so mild and
gentle, but with eyes full of tears... He came
and carried the boy in His arms. He was
crying. Curious bystanders nudged the man
in white, and asked,
"Excuse me sir, are you related to this child?
Do you know this child?"
The man in white, His face mourning and in
agony, looked up and answered,
"He was my best friend . " was all he said. He
took the badly wrapped gift in the bloody
chest of the lifeless boy, and placed it near
His heart.
He stood up and carried the boy away and
they both disappeared in sight.
The crowd was curious ...
On Christmas Eve, Father Agaton learned of
the shocking news. He visited the house, and
wanted to verify about the man in white. He
consulted the parents of Andoy.
"How did you know that your son died?"
"A man in white brought him here." sobbed
the mother. "What did he say?"
The father answered, "He did not say
anything. He was mourning. We do not know
him and yet he was very lonely about our
son's death, as if he knew our son very well.
But there was something peaceful and
unexplainable about him.
He gave me my son, and then he smiled
peacefully. He brushed my son's hair away
from his face and kissed him on his forehead,
then he whispered something..."
"What did he say?"
"He said to my boy..." the father began,
"Thank you for the gift .... I will see you
soon ... you will be with me..." and the father
of the boy continued, "and you know for a
while, it felt so
wonderful ... I cried, but I do not know
why....all I know is I cried tears of joy .... I
could not explain it, Father, but when that
man left, something peaceful came over me, I
felt a deep sense
of love inside ... I could not explain the joy in
my heart, I knew my boy is in heaven now
but...tell me, Father, who is this man that my
son talks to everyday in your church, you
should know because you are always there ...
except at the time of his death ......"Father
Agaton suddenly felt the tears welling in his
eyes, with
trembling knees, he murmurred, " ... He was
talking to no one ......
but .. GOD...."

Wife beat husband to death with bare hands Found Guilty

Wife beat husband to death with bare hands Found Guilty

Wife beat husband to death with bare hands

A Pretoria woman who beat her husband to death with her bare hands in 2010 was this week found guilty of murder by the Pretoria District Court.Rachel Elizabeth “Rolene” Botha, 55, sat on her husband, Johan Botha, in a motorcycle shop, screamed “Vrek, jou poes!” [die, you jerk] and smashed his head repeatedly on the concrete floor.
According to the post-mortem report, Johan had sustained multiple head injuries, several broken ribs and severe bruising.
Three witnesses told the court that on the day of the murder, Rolene had arrived at the shop, demanding to see her husband. The shop had formerly belonged to the Bothas, but they had sold it to Johan Botha’s brother and his wife, to whom they owed money.
An argument ensued, during which Rolene’s sister-in-law, Tania Botha, telephoned Johan, who arrived and told his wife to leave.
Rolene punched and pushed her husband, who then fell down, and she continued the assault.
Her claim of self-defence and version of events was rejected.
Rolene also told the court that she was quite sober during the attack on her husband, as she had only had “three doubles with water” beforehand.
The case was postponed for pre-sentencing reports.

For allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl (name withheld), a 62-year-old, Mr. John Osunade, has been remanded in prison custody by an Osogbo Magistrate’s Court.
The charge sheet read in court on Tuesday accused Osunade of perpetrating the act on May 27, 2012, at his residence in Tonkere village, Gbongan town in Ayedaade Local Government Area, Osun State.
When his plea was taken, the accused pleaded not guilty to the one-count of rape.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun, said the offense was punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
Defence prosecutor, Mr. Reginald Ngwu, urged the court to admit the accused to bail, adding that Osunade remained innocent until the contrary was proved in court.
Ngwu, who said Osunade was ready to face trial, added that the accused would provide reliable sureties if granted bail.
But the Magistrate, Mr. Olusola Aluko, ordered the accused to be remanded in custody, adding that the court would entertain Osunade’s bail application in written form and not in oral.
Aluko adjourned the case until Wednesday, July 4, 2012, for mention

Baby Making factory in Akwa Ibom – Young Mothers are Paid N70k, Babies Sold to Ritualists

Baby Making factory in Akwa Ibom – Young Mothers are Paid N70k, Babies Sold to Ritualists

 baby factory in akwa ibom

Police in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, have uncovered a mysterious factory where young girls are made to conceive, give birth and the babies later sold to suspected ritualists and other members of the public in Uruan Local Government Area of the state. The new babies, we gathered, are collected from the young mothers as soon as they are delivered, even as each mother is paid N70,000 after each successful delivery. The state Commissioner of Police Umar Gwadabe who briefed newsmen on the development and 1other breakthroughs recorded by the state police command, disclosed that the said illegal home is owned by one Dr Wisdom Mbaba and is located at Ekpene Ukim, in Uruan Local Government Area of the state.
Gwadabe said following a tip-off from a concerned citizen of the area, the police raided the place and about seven young women, between the ages of 18 and 20 were rescued from the said operation, while the suspected proprietor of the home, Dr Mbaba, escaped but his wife, Effiong, was arrested.
One of the girls rescued, Aniebet Okon Sunday, told Nigerian Tribune that she had gone there to abort a five-month-old pregnancy but the doctor told her to stay with him, promising that he would pay her for the baby, which she agreed to and was paid N70,000 after delivery. “My friend took me to Doctor Wisdom when I was pregnant and wanted to do abortion but the doctor said I should stay and give birth.
I did not even see the baby that I gave birth to. I don’t know if it was a boy or girl. It was taken away before I was able to stand up. But doctor gave me N70, 000,” Miss Sunday narrated. Nigerian Tribune gathered from reliable sources that young girls wishing to abort unwanted pregnancies were lured to the factory for abortion operation, after which the unwanted babies are negotiated and sold to ritualists by the factory dealers.
However, Dr Mbaba’s wife Effiong who is currently in police custody, admitted that her husband was a specialist in abortion but claimed he had stopped doing the business for some years now. Asked whether she was running the business with her husband she said, “No, I don’t know anything about the business. I run a shop where I sell foodstuffs and others things.” However, the state commissioner of police said his men had been equipped to contain any security challenges in the state.

How I Strangled my 3-week-old Baby and dumped in a pit Toilet -19-year-old Mother

How I Strangled my 3-week-old Baby and dumped in a pit Toilet -19-year-old Mother

Nsidibe Sunday Effiong

Life has always proved to be a paradox; when many millionaires are running from pillar to post asking God for even a child, many others term theirs unwanted and most often get rid of them by all means.
Such can be said to have been the case with a 19-year-old lady, Nsidibe Sunday Effiong, in Akwa Ibom State, who out of frustration strangled her 3-week-old baby and dumped her in a pit toilet.
Nsidibe, who hails from Ikot Abasi Idem Village in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, was arrested and paraded at the Ikot Akpan, Abia headquarters of the Akwa Ibom state police command recently for the crime which she admitted to during interrogation.
Narrating her story to Crime Features, Nsidibe who was paraded alongside other crime suspects by the police command lamented that she dropped out of school while she was in Junior Secondary School 3, (JSS3) when she was pregnant with her first baby.
She said her mother merely tolerated her. They faced untold hardship as the man who was responsible for her pregnancy had abandoned her and the baby and life became miserable for her when she got pregnant for another man less than one year after her first child.
According to her, what drove her into taking such a drastic action was when the young man who impregnated her the second time fled the community and it became extremely impossible for her to take care of the two babies all alone.
“I could not even pay for a room I rented and my mother was suffering so much to feed me and my first child. Before I even gave birth to the second one, the man who was responsible for the pregnancy, a barbing salon attendant, was nowhere to be found, and my mother threatened to throw me and the babies out of the house.
“When I gave birth to the second one, life became so difficult, that was why I decided that instead of punishing my mother, let me throw the baby away. So, I used towel to tie the baby’s neck and put her in the toilet,” she narrated.

My 8-months-old Pregnant Wife Denies Me Sex – Mr Solomon Iwuchukwu

Findings by this writer revealed that the teenage girl was not getting proper care after she dropped out of school and that she had rented a room in Ibesipo village which she used as both her living apartment and brothel. All sorts of reportedly men came to have sex with her, after which she was paid peanuts.
Narrating how she took the life of her baby, she said: “One morning, I wrapped a towel round the neck. Though she was crying, I made sure she was dead and then wrapped her all over and sneaked into the pit toilet in the compound, where I threw the dead baby inside”.
Crime Features gathered that Nsidibe’s secret deed came to the open when neighbours who knew she had a new baby suddenly started seeing her without a baby.
Curiously and suspiciously, they launched into action by calling the attention of the police to their discovery.
Investigation by the police later revealed that the lady had strangled the three-week-old baby and dropped her in a pit toilet few weeks after delivery.
Nsidibe has since been taken to court and the police command seemed to know nothing about her case any longer.

Nigerian LGBT’s in Diaspora Against Anti Same Sex Laws held a rally outside Nigerian Embassy in London, UK to mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
The rally was held on Thursday May 17th 2012 with the Theme- “We Are Family- Freedom to Love for all Nigerians”.
Speakers shared personal stories and experiences of Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia and a letter was delivered to officials of the Nigerian High Commission.
A former student activist of the OAU, Ile-Ife, Yemisi Ilesanmi led the protest. She said a position paper on the Anti-Same Sex Marriage bill currently pending before the Nigerian legislatures had already been sent to the Nigerian Legislative organ and the Executive.
PM NEWS LAGOS-Same Sex Marriage: Obama’s Nod Emboldens Nigerian Gays
Gay activists in Nigeria seem to have been emboldened by President Barack Obama’s recent endorsement of homosexual relationships, P.M.NEWS can reveal.
In a press statement sent to P.M.NEWS yesterday, gay activists called on the Nigerian Federal Government and National Assembly to revisit their anti-gay stance and legislation for a better society.
The National Assembly had on 29 November 2011 criminalised relationships between same sex couples, but gay activists remained silent until after President Obama endorsed such relationships on 9 May 2012.
The activists under the aegis of Narconon Nigeria argued that punishing gays or lesbians because of their sexual orientations is inhuman.
They disclosed that they held press conferences in Lagos, southwest Nigeria and Abuja, Nigeria’s capital recently and resolved to speak up.
“Every citizen deserves the right and freedom of association and choices,” Mr. Ibrahim Kunle who issued the statement on behalf of Narconon said.
“Nigeria has not in any way recorded a case of criminality attached to the activities of same sex in the society.
“Many critics based their argument against the practices of homosexual on the passion for religious extremism.
“To take it a little further, for something to be considered wrong in even the most primitive society, the onus of proving harm should be on the accuser.
“Since gays and lesbians do not cause harm to the society as a whole or other individuals within that society, there is no issue of right or wrong.
“In Nigeria today, same-sex sexual activities is illegal according to Chapter 21, Articles 214 and 217 of the Nigerian penal code and can be punished by imprisonment of up to 14 years throughout Nigeria.
“Narconon Nigeria describes this as inhuman and unfair justification to the persons involved in the same sex activities,” Narconon said, adding that it is a non-governmental organization involved in the fight against drug abuse, human rights abuse and crime.
The activists called on the Nigerian government to leave gays and lesbians alone and focus on the fight against insecurity and poverty.
“Narconon Nigeria believes the government needs to pay more attention to insecurity (terrorism & kidnapping), economic instability, corruption, education, health, unemployment, drug trafficking and abuse, organised crime etc.
“The country has gradually fallen into the hands of criminal gangs, who as ubiquitous as they are, are mushrooming at alarming proportion, while the government seems not to be paying attention to the rapacious consequences they are wreaking and could wreak on the society at large. The government seems not to be interested in real reforms,” Narconon said.

TWO MARRIED WOMEN CAUGHT KISSING IN PUBLIC!!

See two women kissing so passionately Many sometimes when you see young/teenage girls exhibit strange acts, as is the case with many of them these days, it is possible they copied such traits from their homes. This is so because children learn faster from what they see from people around them.
What and how do one describe these two adults who decide to violate the laws of Nigeria (with regards to lesbianism) with impunity, knowing that if they are caught by the authorities it would land them in nothing less than 14 years imprisonment?
Choi! Moral values in Nigeria is really collapsing.

GAY MAN STONED TO DEATH IN NAIROBI SLUM!!!

Stoned to death urban news
Identity Kenya can now report that two gay men were attacked by a mob after they were caught having sex in Kayole estate late last month.
The two men were beaten by the mob on the night of May 27th 2012 as they were caught in the act by passersby. One managed to escape while the other died after being stoned by a crowd of people.
According to sources, the two were food vendors in Kayole in a make shift kiosk in the sprawling estate. The deceased was the cook at the kiosk while the one who managed to escape was charged with packing and handling of the food.
Identity Kenya confirmed that the deceased’s first name was Kamau.
It is said the two have ‘been enjoying prolonged stares for month and the deceased made the first move.’ None knew the other was gay though they both identified as gay.
The two are said to have agreed to have meet up behind the Catholic Church building in Soweto estate at 8pm on the fateful day. From there, sources say, they began to have sex. The area is described as ‘deserted with bushes and a dumping site.’
In the darkness, the two were caught with passersby as they were having sex and they were beaten up after a confrontation. Later, a crowd milled around and started to stone the two men amidst insults.
The survivor is said to have been hit in the back but managed to escape as the crowd grew and bayed for their blood.
The survivor is said to be in critical condition after the beating.
‘His arms are broken and he is coughing blood and he has internal bleeding,’ according to a source who requested anonymity and who was familiar with the case.
The deceased – Kamau – it is said, was held down and beaten and later stoned to death. His body was found dumped at the dump site next to where they were caught. He had suffered severe head and body injuries.
Local police were called in the morning to retrieve the body that was taken to the City Mortuary. Report say he was buried a week later.
Kayole estate is a sprawling estate with a growing slum influence. The area is densely populated with the outlawed Mungiki sect adherents who target residents and extort money. They also dish out ‘justice’ to perpetrators of violence, disturbance or marital chaos.
The Mungiki are also alleged to have targeted effeminate men in the past with the most recent case being two gay men who were confronted by Mungiki men, abducted and locked in an building under construction as they asked for money to let them go.
Kenyan LGBT activists and organisations are said to be following up on the case.

TWO FAMILIES QUARREL OVER THE CORPSE OF A DANA PLANE CRASH VICTIM!!

Relations of DAN Air Crash urban news
This where Nigerians say, wonders shall never end when two families fight over corpse of a Dana plane crash victim. read on:
TWO families, yesterday, laid claim to the same corpse of the Dana air crash which degenerated into abusive exchanges at the Lekan Ogunsola Memorial mortuary of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja.
This came as an unidentified relation of one of the deceased attacked LASUTH officials with a machete.
Trouble started when relations of late Mr. Jones Ifekanwa and that of another victim, identified a body of one of the victims as theirs.
Findings by Vanguard revealed that earlier, Chief Medical Examiner, LASUTH and Consultant Pathologist and Forensic Medicine expert, Prof. John Obafunwa, had invited the Ifekanwa family to identify their late brother’s corpse which they did with some difficulty unlike last week when they said the body was easily identifiable.
The other family, it was gathered, after being invited to identify its corpse, eventually picked the same corpse earlier selected by the Ifekanwa family, as their late brother who died in the same air crash. An argument ensued and Obafunwa was forced to deny both families any claim to the body. He rather,  urged them to wait for the DNA test result that would be available in about four weeks.
Verbal war
Enraged, the two families engaged in verbal war and came close to exchanging blows but for the intervention of security men.
It was gathered that while the Ifekanwas were very sure the body they identified was their late brother’s, members of the other family told Obafunwa they were not so sure that the body was actually theirs.
The Ifekanwa family, however, complained of the deplorable state of the corpse who they said was their youngest sibling, saying yesterday was the third time they had come to identify him. In their view, the corpse was getting worse with time.
A visibly shaken Jennifer Enanana, elder sister to the late Jones Ifekanwa told newsmen: ”I am testifying just for my brother, Mr. Jones Ifekanwa. He was identified at the crash site. He wasn’t burnt. He had his identity card with him and some other documents in his pockets, with that they identified him.
“When we were there last Tuesday, it did not take them up to five minutes to get him to us. They even told us that we were very lucky, so they wrote his name on the body bag he was in. When we went in there, we identified his clothes and birth marks on him and everything was okay. They told us that within 48 hours he would be released. But that was not to be because they said they wanted to do DNA.
“So on Saturday we went back to check if he was properly taken care of, we found out that he was getting worse. His face was peeling off, he was deteriorating and I expressed my grievances and I told them that I did not like this and asked them when they were going to release his body to us.
“Luckily enough, Fashola said we should meet him on Sunday, which most of us did. The place was packed with people. It was agreed there that all identified bodies should be released. Can you imagine as at last Friday, they had released six bodies without us knowing.
“Meanwhile, they were claiming to us that they need DNA but they were releasing bodies without people knowing. Six bodies have gone out. It was yesterday (Monday) that we got to know about it.
Another identification
“So this morning (yesterday) I and my family came to claim our body that had been identified by them and confirmed by us to be our brother, only for us to get there, Prof. Obafunwa took us in again, traumatising my family to identify the body that had already been identified by them and confirmed and identified by us.
“They took us in and they wrapped him up as if it was a gift pack showing just his face not his ears, not his head and wrapped him up, can you imagine? And we were telling them that this is our brother whom we had identified. He has a mark on his lips and on his fore head, it is just a unique feature of him and all that.
“Could you believe that another family went inside and identified the same Jones’ body. A body that has been identified by them and confirmed by us twice, they took another family to go and identify the body, the family was already devastated and the girl came out. Because she wasn’t sure of the body, she asked him to bring out his hands because their own person has a mark in his hands. The professor refused.
“The professor came out to tell us that there was a problem on our body, that there was a contention. He said because of this he would not release the body. That means they did not store the bodies properly, that means there is something fishy going on.”
Relation attacks LASUTH officials
In another development at the same venue, a drama was played out when an angry relation of the victims of the crash attacked LASUTH officials with a machete. Luckily, the unprovoked assault was aborted by a special squad of the Rapid Respond team of the Police who held on to the angry man as he shouted: “You people can eat my brother’s body if you want, since you don’t want to release him to us.”
In anticipation, the Police have stationed a special squad of the Rapid Respond team to man the mortuary for 24 hours because of such unpleasant development.
Officials of the hospital, including Obafunwa, maintained stoic silence over the matter and rebuffed overtures by media men to get his response on the development.
Two more bodies were claimed yesterday, bringing the number of claimed bodies to eight.

Texas father catches man sexually assaulting his 4yr old daughter and punches him to death

Texas father catches man sexually assaulting his 4yr old daughter and punches him to death

A Texas father caught a man sexually assaulting his 4-year-old daughter and punched him in the head repeatedly, killing him, authorities said.

The girl was left inside the family's house during a social gathering, while other members of her family were tending to horses. The father returned to the house, caught the man in the act, and stopped him by striking him in the head several times. The man was pronounced dead on the scene, while the daughter was taken to a local hospital in Victoria, Texas, for examinations before being released. Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon said

The father was casually acquainted with the alleged abuser. Neither has been publicly identified.

The incident took place Saturday.

Harmon described the girl as "OK besides the obvious mental trauma."

Asked whether they would press charges against the father, the sheriff responded, "You have a right to defend your daughter. He acted in defense of his third person. Once the investigation is completed we will submit it to the district attorney who then submits it to the grand jury, who will decide if they will indict him."

Harmon described the dad as "very remorseful," adding that he didn't know the man was going to die.
Authorities were withholding the deceased man's name while they notified next of kin. Officials did not know immediately if he has a prior criminal history.

Nigerian Men Are Lazy – British Baroness

British Baroness
Most of the men in Nigeria don’t do anything, their wives do all the work, that’s why they have so many. They have four wives – one to do the farming, one to look after the children, one to look after the man and one to do the housework. It is just a fact.” – Controversial peer, Baroness Flather (a teacher and politician) said on a radio phone-in debate on polygamy yesterday in the UK, after a Nigerian caller told how his father had four wives and 11 children, who all lived together in the same house without problems.
Look at the way this woman that calls herself Baroness insulting Nigeria Men.

25 things Women Should know about Men

1. Our habits and routines are set in stone. Please don’t even think of changing what we like to wear, do and eat. Tossing out those grimy sneakers will result in civil war.
  • 2. Our health is not our problem, but yours (and please make it so). If we fall sick from eating or imbibing too much of the wrong things, we expect you to baby us, and to make us well.
  • 3. If you want to be loved for more than your anatomy, don’t listen to the lady newscaster reporting on the imminent collapse of half of Europe’s economies, only to chirp, “She should’ve parted her hair on the other side.”
  • 4. The best way to a man’s heart is through his ego. Often, it’s the only thing bigger than our stomachs.
  • 5. Men lose about five words a day from their memory. Somewhere between saying “I love you” for the first time and celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, they’ve lost a whole dictionary. But don’t worry — that grunt does mean “You’re the most wonderful person I’ve been blessed to know, and thank you for bearing up with me, sweetie.”
  • 6. Men were once babies, too, and a little cuddling, massage and a hug after a long day is always welcomed.
  • 7. Unless it is a life or death situation, please do not bother us during a sports match on TV.
  • 8. We rarely share our thoughts and feelings so during the few occasions when we do get out of our cave and open up to you, genuine attention and acknowledgement would be much appreciated.
  • 9. Yes we like looking at pretty women, on the street or in movies and magazines. But please do not say that we are the only ones who do this as we have only two words to say in response: Brad Pitt.
  • 10. We love cars. The way they look, feel and ride turn us on. Please do not complain about it. Men can obsess about worst things, right?
  • 11. Women use an average of 25,000 words a day. Men use only about 10,000. Please do not expect us to keep up. This is a contest we would gladly lose.
  • 12. We love our hair more than you do because we may have to say goodbye to it sooner.
  • 13. Men who honor their mothers make better husbands.
  • 14. When we have problems, we do not want to get sidelined by analyzing our feelings about it. We just want a definite solution to rid ourselves of it.
  • 15. If you need something from us, say it! We are lousy at picking up hints.
  • 16. If we ask you what is wrong and you answer, “Nothing,” we are surprised why you get angry. Aren’t we supposed to believe you?
  • 17. We are not blessed with multi-tasking abilities like you. So please do not disturb us at work unless it is an emergency.
  • 18. If you are going through a hormonal phase, please do us the courtesy of a verbal announcement. We do not want to realize it the hard way.
  • 19. We have the attention span of fleas so when relating a story, please opt for the Cliff Notes version.
  • 20. Please do not nag. Our romantic partners should not resemble our mothers.
  • 21. If you think we drive too fast, you should see us when you are not in the car.
  • 22. Even if it isn’t true, we would appreciate it if you act as though we are in charge. Our egos depend on this illusion.
  • 23. Yes, the skimpy outfit looks hot on you but no way are you wearing it outside our dressing room.
  • 24. Our jobs define who we are so those long hours at the office are just that. Long hours.
  • 25. We love sex. We think about s*x. Life without s*x isn’t worth living. We think about s*x all the time. It doesn’t mean that we are pigs and it does not mean that we will fool around. It’s just that… did we tell you how much we love s*x?

Horror as six-month-old boy die after evil rats Feasted on his Face

woman evil rats ate her babyON Saturday morning, Nthabiseng lay her six-month-old boy down on the bed next to her. She breastfed him, watched as he went to sleep, and fell asleep herself.
A few hours later, she woke up to find that giant rats had been eating her boy’s face!
“My child’s mouth was covered in blood and his eyes had terrible cuts. I called an ambulance and my son was taken to Leratong Hospital,” Nthabiseng Mgangame (27) said.
But late that night she got a call that her son, Philandar, had died. The baby was buried yesterday at Lenasia cemetery. Nthabiseng and other residents said evil rats were taking over Spooktown in Bekkersdal, west of Joburg.
“They come from the graveyard and invade our shacks at night. I felt like someone was hitting me on the face. I was asleep but I tried to fight it off. Eventually I woke up and that’s when I saw cuts on my face and blood coming out of my mouth. The rats nibbled on my eyes and I could not see clearly when I woke up,” said a neighbor, Ntswaki Malomane (23) who had also been attacked by the rats.
Ntswaki was taken to hospital and treated for rat bites.

Megachurch pastor denies beating daughter: ‘The truth is, she was not choked, she was not punched’

Megachurch pastor denies beating daughter: ‘The truth is, she was not choked, she was not punched’

Dollar (World Changers Church International)

The founder and leader of a Georgia megachurch--who was arrested last week on charges of choking his teenage daughter, slamming her into the ground and hitting her with a shoe--told churchgoers on Sunday that he did not beat her.
"The truth is, she was not choked, she was not punched," Creflo Dollar, the pastor, said before delivering his Sunday sermon at World Changers Church International in Atlanta on Sunday.
Police in Fayette County were called to Dollar's home at 1 a.m. on Friday. According to the police report, Dollar's 15-year-old daughter said he "put his hands around her throat and began to choke her ... then slammed her to the ground, punched her and beat her with his shoe." There was a scratch on her neck, police said.
"There were not any scratches on her neck," Dollar said. "The only thing on her neck was a prior skin abrasion from eczema. Anything else is an exaggeration and sensationalism."
"The truth is that a family conversation with our youngest daughter got emotional," he said. "And emotions got involved and things escalated from there." His daughter told police the argument was over whether she could go to a party the next night.
Dollar was arrested on charges of simple battery, family violence and child cruelty. He spent the night in Fayette County Jail before posting $5,000 bail. He was released early Friday.
"I will say this emphatically: I should have never been arrested," Dollar said on Sunday.
He also criticized police for rushing to judgment.
"To come and take a picture of a mark that's been there for 10 years, and not have enough intelligence to at least ask the parent what it is, is appalling."
