Police Says Nyanya School Bus Attack Was A Robbery Case

The Nigerian Police Force revealed on their Facebook page that the early morning attack and hijack of school bus belonging to The Vine International school was a robbery attack and not an attack by Boko Haram.

Female Kidnapper Who Pretended To Be Insane Was Burnt To Death By Mob In Ondo

A middle-aged "supposed lunatic" woman popularly called "Ayababa" by residents who usually found her at a refuse dump along Oluseyi Street in Ondo town ran out of luck when she was caught by some youths while trying to drag a primary school boy of seven-years who was on his way to school into an uncompleted building at about 7.30 a.m.

The youths who were on the other side of the road were attracted by the boy's shout for help when she tried to kidnap him. The lunatic was said to have received heavy beatings when she was unable to explain her actions.

In the course of questioning from the youths, it was revealed that she actually was a sane person who had all along pretended to be a lunatic as one of the youths reportedly removed the artificial hair on her head and discovered she had expensive fingernails fixed and a Blackberry and Nokia handsets were also discovered in her bag.

The infuriated youths who were amazed at these discoveries applied jungle justice by setting her ablaze after pouring petrol on her.

She was said to have confessed before she met her death that she used to come from Osogbo in Osun State thrice a month for the kidnap business.

According to an eyewitness, the woman said she was not the only one in the business as others had fled immediately she was arrested.

Vanguard gathered that the woman would, during the day, operate as a lunatic to scout for victims and at night go after her targets.

Nemesis, however, caught up with her as she could not wait for the night before pouncing on the boy which led to her arrest and subsequent death.

It was learnt that the deceased had some men accomplices within the town who assisted her to ferry the victims out of the town.

The state police image maker, Wole Ogodo, could not be reached on phone for confirmation.

Charly Boy Plans Concert For Late Dad

Ecentric entertainer, Charles Oputa (aka Charly Boy) whose father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa  passed on May 4, 2014 says he plans to hold a concert in memory of him.

According to him, the concert would feature artists like D’banj, Terry G amongst others.

Charly Boy made this known at his residence in Abuja while speaking with sympathizers, he said no one should weep for his late father. He said:

“They should join in celebrating a life well lived.”

“My father was a good and great man, though we did not start off well because in the beginning he always felt I was too rascal. I did not obey orders and I got tired of his rules, regulations and restrictions  so it was important that I go my own way. I thank God I did that because at long last since the past 25 years. I won the kind of respect I deserved from the man who thought that the direction I took was a wrong move. For the past 25 years, we bonded and I am proud to have had a father like him”

Her infected boyfriend who is a sports journalist in South Africa and also the father of her 3-months old foetus was said to have faked his HIV test result and has been forced to shut down his Twitter account as a result of the alert.

Another Delegate Dies At The National Conference (CONFAB)

You will recall that the ongoing National conference at the onset lost one of its delegates, retired police AIG, Hamma Misau from Bauchi State who died on the 27th of March, 2014. Well, here is another sad news of the death of another delegate, Dr. Muhammed Abubakar Jumare (pictured above) from Kaduna State.

Dr Jumare who came to the Conference as an Elder Statesman died in the early hours of Monday in Abuja and was buried later in the day in Zaria.

The late Dr Jumare was born on August 20, 1943 in Kwarbai, Zaria City. He attended Town School Number 1 in 1949-1952; Middle School, Soba Senior Primary School, Katsina Teachers College and Ahmadu Bello University where he bagged the Doctor of Philosophy in 1989.

He started out as a primary school teacher in 1960 at the Zaria Local Authority and later transferred to the Treasury as Clerk in 1962. He rose to the position of Emirate Supervisor of Accounts and then Head of the Local Authority between 1973 and 1975.

After the local Government Reforms, he became the first Principal Assistant Secretary and Head of Administration. He worked with the Ahmadu Bello University between 1986 and 1992 as Senior Lecturer and Senior Administrative Consultant. He was the General Manager Personnel and Administration at Peugeot Automobile Limited, Kaduna, between 1993 and 1999; and Chairman, Kaduna State Water Board between 2003 and 2004.

Dr Jumare had also served as a National Commissioner in charge of Information and Publicity Committee at the National Electoral Commission. He was also the Chairman of the 15-member National Advisory Committee on Delimitation of Constituencies constituted by INEC in 2008. His tenure at INEC lapsed in 2009.

He was reappointed Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission in Kaduna State in 2011, a position he was until his demise on Monday, May 5, 2014.

His burial was attended by the Kaduna State Governor, Alhaji Ramalan Yero and the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji (Dr) Shehu Idris. The National Conference was represented by Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the Assistant Secretary in charge of Finance and Administration.

May His soul rest in peace.

50 Houses Flooded In Abuja Estate

Trademore Estate, Airport Road, Abuja

Yesterday's rain was so heavy than no fewer than 50 houses got flooded at the Trademore Estate, 

along Airport Road in Abuja.

According to the Estate Manager, Mrs Edwina Aniakor, the flooding was caused by resident’s continuous dropping of refuse around the drainage, which then resulted in a blockage. She said: “Only a few houses were affected and management has decided to clear the drains and to maintain strict measures within the Estate to avoid future occurrence."

I bet you to always be grateful for things like because the hurricane and storms faced in the US presently is something to weep for! Oh, how lucky Nigeria is. Our own disasters in this country are man-made and not natural!

Human Parts Dealer Sells Skulls For N20,000, Intestines, Liver For N1,000

A 54-year-old grandmother, Sukuratu Salami who was paraded alongside a cemetery guard and two others were arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Joju area of Sango Ota, with a human head, intestines, bones, kidney and other human parts.

Salami, who admitted to have been into human parts business for a year, said she started as a herbs dealer. Narrating how she ventured into the business, the mother of three said: 

“A herbalist approached me last year and demanded for human parts. When he told me how much they buy the parts, I was tempted.

“I approached one Tantoloun, who works in a grave yard. He sold a skull for N10,000 and I sold it in return for N20,000. Greed made me to continue until I was arrested.

“I buy pieces of bones for N2,000, liver and intestines for N1,000 each and resell for N5,000 or more depending on the buyer’s bargaining power.

“I am not a killer. I have never killed anyone. I only request for decomposed human parts. I needed the money to feed my three children of ages 30, 27 and 23 respectively.

“Those who patronize me are herbalists and trado-medical practitioners. The parts are used to prepare concoction for sick children. So far, I have only sold 10 human skulls.”

She promised never to go back to the illicit business again if left off the hook.

On his part, the cemetery guard, Rasheed Tantoloun, from Oyo State, said he usually dig dead bodies out of their graves with the aid of one Ibrahim, whom he hired.

He alleged that his employer instructed them to exhume dead bodies that have stayed long in order to get spaces for fresh ones. He said:  

“Anytime old corpses are exhumed, we usually collect the parts and sell to ready buyers who are usually agbo sellers (herbs dealers).

“My salary is N5,000 a month but since I started doing the business, I made three times more than the amount. We also dug corpses buried without caskets.”

Another suspect, Waheed Ibrahim, an Arabic teacher, said he was paid N3,000 for exhuming dead bodies. He said:

“We usually tamper with dead bodies buried without caskets and those whose relatives never showed up after burial. My job is to exhume and dismember the bodies and at the end of which I would be paid N3,000.”

The suspects reportedly met their Waterloo after operatives of SARS, who got wind of their alleged dealings, posed as buyers.

The state Police Commissioner, Umar Manko, who paraded the suspects, said the command took interest in the case following the mysterious disappearance of persons. He said:

“Detectives led by the SARS commander, Abba Kyari, posed as buyers and bought a human head from Salami at N120,000.

“After arresting the suspects, Salami’s house was searched during which a human head, liver, intestines and other parts were found. We picked interest in this case because of the disappearances of people. With their arrest, we hope that we’ll get to the root of these disappearances.

“We discovered that most of these bodies are fresh. It is criminal to deal in human parts. A few weeks back, Soka Forest was discovered in Ibadan. As you can see, this crime happens all over.”

Gunmen Hijack School Bus In Nyanya, Abuja

This morning, a school bus belonging to one private school, Vine International Academy was hijacked by gunmen in Nyanya district of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The bus was reportedly taken by the said gunmen as it arrived the school premises to drop off students for the day though it is uncertain if the abductors took away all the children in the bus.

 The school proprietress, Mrs. Fola Kolade has confirmed the hijack to newsmen. She said:
"They tried to enter the school but they couldn't. No children were taken but they took our school bus.". All pupils of the school are safe.

Meanwhile, most primary and secondary schools in Nyanya, Jikwoyi and  Karishi have been thrown into chaos as parents rush in different directions to evacuate their wards from schools in these areas.

Mother Who Flogs Her Children With Cutlass, Knife, Iron, Stick, Belt & Uses Hot Knife From The Fire To Design Their Scalps

 

While some women are out there crying over there children who were abducted, some others do not just appreciate their children! Here is a news of a mother who flogs her children with cutlass, iron, knife, stick, and belt and leaves her signature on them as their heads and bodies are full of scars while their hands are dislocated. This heartless mother not only covers the scalp of her children with cap, she also threatens them to tell people that they had accident!

This same mother named Toyin Abiodun who lives with her four children (including a baby) in a one-room apartment at Number 24, Adekunle  Street, Akute- Odo,  Ogun State cooks, eats, washes her clothes and dishes, defecates and bathes with her children in that same one-room!!

According to the children, their mother would give them caps to cover their heads in order to avoid the scars from being seen or discovered. The other girl has a strange big Bob Marley strands of over 500 woven on her head to cover the scars on her head. The hair looked weird as it is too heavy for such a small girl of four!

Dejitade said his mother uses stick, cutlass, and knife to beat them. He said it is true that she maltreats them always. He said she does not care. “She would put knife in the fire and use it to cut our body.”

Emmanuel said he is in KG Two, he said his mother used to beat them with cutlass, belts , sticks and knives.

Damilola, 4, said she does not want to live with their mother again. “My mother is wicked”, she kept on repeating the statement.

Reporters who got to the school of the eldest child, 11-year-old Dejitade who attends Z  I Primary School , Akute School Two heard shocking stories from the teachers (who pleaded anonymity) who described the situation of  the three children as pathetic:

" we are so afraid and full of pity for these kids and we had to report the incident to our community head , Oba Aleeh Idowu Akindele.”

 
One of the teachers with  misty eyes  said;

“The eldest one is in Primary Two at age 11, yet he cannot read or identify numbers one to four, he is always afraid and his speech is blurred  and  could no longer reason  well, this is as a result of abuse from her mother.” 

Another teacher who was full of pity said; 

“The children are always afraid to go home when it is time for them to go.They said their mother used to beat them with any object from knife, cutlass, belt to iron. These kids need to be rescued before it is too late.”

And Another said;

“These children’s bodies are full of scars, the first born Dejitade is about 11years old but he said he is nine, he is in Primary Two. He does not speak properly while his hands have broken as he has dislocation. How can an 11-year-old boy be in Primary Two and still does not speak properly? I believe this has affected his brain.”

The landlord of the house, Samuel Soyemi, said the woman was his late mother’s tenant. ”I asked of her husband but she  said  she was no longer with her husband. When I called the husband he said he is no longer interested in their relationship. This woman is weird, she would lock up the children and leave  home till evening while they would be crying. She has done like that  four times locking the children in the room. She does not cooperate with anybody. It’s  like she has  psychological problem .One day  she locked up the children and used a knife she brought from the fire and  cut their scalps, their  heads  are full of scars. She gave them caps to be wearing and tutored  them to tell whoever asked about their scars that they  were involved in  motor accidents. That is why they wear caps .She baths for them in the room, cooks, wash clothes and defecates in the same room they live.”

When Toyin was visited at her residence, she was met with a belt in her hand  with eyes frowned , possibly  she had just finished  beating one of the kids. While the last one was on a potty defeacating and at the same time eating along with his brothers and sister from same plate!

When asked about  her life , she said she had the eldest child for her husband and later had another for another man but both are not serious men .On the last  baby , she denied she is the mother and said the baby belongs to her sister, when asked where the sister lives , she kept quiet and started challenging the reporter on his mission. However, she confessed that she  at present has no man  in her life as she  had divorced her  first  and  second husband who did not care  for her. She added that all the tenants in the house hated her including the landlord , ” they all hate me here and did not mind their business. In fact, I suspect it is either the landlord who had wanted me to befriend him and I refused or my former husband who came to report me in your office.”

Her four kids are in a terrible condition as their bodies are full of scars. The head of the first born is full of scars, while their bodies are full of sores and scars as well,  no wonder the  first born wears cap like the  fabled Alade  in Yoruba  folktales who had horn on his head and wear cap always to cover the horn.

Asked why she use to beat the children, she denied and claimed that the belt she was holding was just to discipline them at that moment. She said “the scars on them had been there for long. The first born had all those marks as a result of the beatings he had when he was with my brother in law in Lagos Island.” Asked about the second one with scars and dislocation, she could not say a word but insisted that her enemies had sent the reporter to her.

When the interrogations continued  she confessed that she has been to the Welfare office. She then called a number to inform the woman who spoke with this reporter.

The Welfare Officer spoke with this reporter on phone and confirmed the scars on the children’s bodies and she asked the reporter ” has she started bullying the kids again? We once took the custody of the kids.”

Oba Aleeh Idowu Akindele, the Alakute of Akute said the case has been reported to him from the school the children attend. He said; ”I have called the landlord to confirm what was happening in the  house and he said it is true. I have instructed them to call the human rights organization to wade into the matter. I don’t believe we can allow the children to still be under the mother’s care. We need to rescue the children.”

I am just so positive that the abduction of these girls will bring to the end of Boko-Haram. Watching the video of the Boko-Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau authoritatively threatening a whole Nation to sell off the girls breaks my heart. If he is doing so on the basis of ending western education in Nigeria, well, i think that is pointless and impossible! With God and help from advance countries, Boko-Haram will be history soon!

Suspected Ritualist Nabbed With Three Siblings In Lagos

 


Report from Vanguard reveals that over the weekend,  a suspected ritualist named Iheanacho who claims to be a security man at Alaba International Market was caught with three children belonging to the same mother at Iyana Iba market in Lagos.

Iheanacho who took the children, aged four, six and seven years, on the pretext that he wanted to buy biscuits for them got the beating of his life and was almost killed by the crowd when he could not give satisfactory answer to neighbours who demanded to know what he was doing with the children.  Fortunately for Iheanacho, the mobile policemen attached to CTU Base 2, Anti Terrorism, Ikeja intervened.

The mother of the children, Mrs. Iyabo Lawal, narrates:
“I was in the shop when the man passed the first time, I didn’t know he was monitoring my kids who were playing with my mother in her shop.

“I was busy attending to customers and didn’t notice when my children followed him. I thought they were still playing in my mother’s shop, not knowing that a stranger had taken them away.

“Some people, who saw my children with the man at the end of Iyana Iba road, questioned him on
 what he was doing with the children and he told them he was going to buy something for them.

“When he could not answer the neighbours satisfactorily, they raised alarm and people gathered and started beating him.

“At this time I had started looking for my children when someone alerted me that they had seen them with a man at the other side of road.”

The suspect was later handed over to policemen from Ojo Police Division.

Former Lagos Governor, Michael Otedola Is dead

A former Governor of Lagos State and father of oil magnate, Femi Otedola, Sir Michael Otedola is dead. 

Sir Michael Otedola who was the Governor of Lagos state from January 1992 to November 1993 was born on July 16, 1926 into a Muslim family at Odoragunsin, Epe Local Government Area of Lagos state.

News of his death comes barely 24 hours after the nation lost legal icon and jurist, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye Weat whose luxury wedding is scheduled for May 24, 2014 in Paris, France, have reportedly made their marriage official as they obtained a confidential marriage license in California few days ago.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” starlet and her “Bound 2” rapper beau had the said license solemnized by a judge, effectively making them husband and wife. According to a Hollywood Life source.

Police apprehend 4 armed robbers whilst raping victim in Ikeja

While Ogbonna and her three (3) female friends were walking on Airport road on their way to the office at 6am, unknown to them, four armed robbers namely; Tochuckwu Ilom (21), Confidence Oziegbe (20), Simon Peter (25) and Nnemeka Ugochukwu (26) were trialling them. 

The four ladies who tried to run off from the robbers took to their heels but unfortunately for one of them named Ogbonna, the robbers caught and attacked her, took away her Samsung Galaxy phone and some money and still took turns to rape her under a bridge in Ikeja. *Sad Sad Sad*

 

Her friends who were on the run flagged down a police vehicle they saw whilst escaping and the police were able to trace the suspects to their temporary hideout.

They were arraigned before a Magistrate court in Ebute Metta on four counts of armed robbery and rape. The charges partly read;

“That you, Tochuckwu Ilom, Confidence Oziegbe, Simon Peter, and Nnemeka Ugochukwu and others at large, on April 11, 2014 at about 6am at Apakun area, under the bridge, along Airport Road, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit; armed robbery and rape. 

“That you, while armed with a gun and other offensive weapons, did rob one Ogbonna, of her Samsung Galaxy handset valued 40,000 and cash sum of N2,200 total valued N62,000.

“That you and others at large did unlawfully have sexual intercourse with Ogbonna, without her consent.”

These robbers who are within the ages of 20 - 26 and should still need parental guidance are out there robbing and raping innocent people. Please what should a 20-year-old boy be doing at this age? Certainly not robbery and rape na! Haba!!

52-year-old Mother Sold her Son’s Baby For N350,000

A 52-year-old woman in Ezinihitte Mbaise Lo­cal Government Area, Imo State, Mrs. Tina Iwuji has landed herself in the police net of the Imo State Police Command for allegedly selling off her son's girlfriend's baby girl of two weeks for the sum of N350,000.

It all began when Iwuji’s son, Emeka, who resides in Lagos sent his pregnant girlfriend, Esther Godwin, a native of Ndoki, Delta State to Mbaise to stay with his mum till after her delivery.  As planned, both Emeka and Esther never disclosed to the woman that her son was responsible for the pregnancy.

The baby who was sold to one Mrs. Bernadine Abara, who claimed to be in need of a girl to complement her three sons was born on the 11th of April 2014 at Hope Clinic and Maternity, Mbaise. After the delivery of the baby, Tina Iwuji's son, Emeka allegedly called his mother on the phone and instructed that she should ar­range for the sale of the baby and the money realized be giv­en to Esther to enable her to continue with her education in Lagos State.

65-Year-Old Man Impregnates Teenage Daughter

A 65-year-old elder of a pentecostal church in Imo State who has confessed to sleeping with his 17-year-old daughter over 5times is expecting a child from his daughter whom he got pregnant. This expected child will be his 12th child and also his grandchild as he already has 11children including  the pregnant teen whom he begot from his two late wives.

The five-month-old pregnant girl who is a JSS student at St Michael’s Secondary School, Orsu-Obodo said her father tore her clothes and forced himself on her, threatening to deal with her if she told anyone. She further added that when she noticed her period stopped, she reported to the father and he said they would sell the baby. A planned move she said she kicked against.

Some angry youths in the community; Kalabari Beach in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State were said to have dragged him from his house and kept beating him until a lawyer passing by prevailed.

What is your name?

Sawok: My name is Amina Sawok.

Walse: My name is Thabita Walse.

Can you describe the attack on your school?

Sawok: We were in the hostel. One of the men dressed in military camouflage asked us where our dining hall was. From our hostels, they took us to the dining hall and from there, we were moved into the waiting vehicles and they headed towards Damboa town. The incident happened around 11pm.

Walse: It is a long story. They came to our school and deceived us into believing they were soldiers. They were dressed in military uniform and made us believe they were about rescuing us only for us to later find out that they were insurgents. When we discovered, it was already too late and there was little we could do.
