I found this on a Nigerian blog. A sad happening which took place on Friday; Feb. 21 at about 5:25pm of a dead baby girl who was found by the canal close to the main gate in University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Lagos. 

The baby, dressed and wearing diapers, was already dead when people noticed and brought her out of the canal. Ants were seen all over her body. This is heart breaking.

Some Edo Workers Used Kids Certificate To Secure Jobs – Oshiomhole

 

Some workers in the Edo State civil service, who used their children or brothers’ certificates to secure employment or promotion, have been discovered.

They were among the 1,800 workers issued queries to explain discrepancies in their credentials.

The affected workers were uncovered during the verification exercise organized by the state government recently.

Giving a hint on the outcome of the verification exercise during a meeting with some civil society groups in Benin City yesterday, Governor Adams Oshiomhole said, “It is true we have done verification in the health sector, civil service and others, which puts a lie to the claims by teachers that they are being targeted and are the only ones asked to do verification, and we discovered some civil servants who are using their children’s certificates or their brother’s certificate”.

He added that “However, we have not sacked anybody. If anything, we have directed the Civil Service Commission to employ new hands into the Civil Service. In any event, we don’t have a record of taking unilateral decisions on matters affecting the workers”.

Oshiomhole, who reiterated his disposition towards training and retraining of teachers, said the teachers’ competence level must be ascertained to design an appropriate retraining programme for them.

Restaurant Shut Down By Police For Allegedly Selling Human Meat (Roasted Human Head) N700 A Piece

In the early hours of Thursday, a hotel restaurant (name withheld) very close to the popular Ose-Okwodu market in Anambra State was caught and has been shut down by the authorities after it was discovered that the restaurant was in the habit of selling roasted human meat to its customers at the rate of N700 for each piece.

After the Onitsha police got access to the hotel, they made a startling discovery of two fresh human heads wrapped in a cellophane bag, two (2) AK47 rifles, two army caps, 40 rounds of live ammunition, several mobile phones & other weapons.

Facebook, on Thursday, agreed to buy mobile messaging service WhatsApp for $19 billion, making it the company’s largest acquisition. As per the terms and conditions of the deal, all 55 employees of WhatsApp including its founders will be granted restricted stock worth $3 billion that will vest over four years after the deal closes.

Eliza-Mae Mullane dies after being attacked by her family's pet dog

Mirror.co.uk have reported a sad incident of a six-day-old baby; Eliza-Mae who is thought to have been killed by the family dog. 

The picture above is the first picture of Eliza-Mae Mullane, the newborn baby who was savaged to death by her family’s dog yesterday. 

Moments earlier Sharon, 42, had found six-day-old Eliza-Mae lying dead next to her partner’s dog, an Alaskan malamute called Nisha. Horrified mum Sharon ran screaming into the street after finding her newborn daughter savaged to death by the family’s pet dog. Neighbour Patricia Punter, 71, told how the frantic mum was shaking with terror as she sobbed: “I don’t know what to do. “The dog ate my baby’s head!”

A 32-year-old Russian man named Viktor Jasinski who tried to rob a hair salon ended up as the victim when the female shop owner of 28; Olga Zajac overpowered him, tied him up naked and then used him as a sex slave for three days. *so funny*

Viktor Jasinski, 32, admitted to police that he had gone to the salon in Meshchovsk, Russia, with the intention of robbing it.  

Olga Zajac, 28, allegedly held 32-year-old would-be robber Viktor Jasinski captive for three days in a back room of her hair salon, feeding him Viagra and having sex ‘a couple of times.

But the tables were turned dramatically when he found himself overcome by owner Olga Zajac, 28, who happened to be a black belt in karate. 

President Jonathan Suspends The CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi And Appoints A Woman As An Acting Governor

   

President Goodluck Jonathan today suspended the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and appointed an acting governor to fill in for him.

Pizza Hut Closed Down As A Result Of An Employee Caught Urinating In A Sink In The Food Prep Area

I found this report on Wowktv. A report of a shocking video of the Pizza Hut District Manager of Pizza Hut (Kermit, West Virginia Location)who was captured by the surveillance cameras on Tuesday 13, while urinating into a sink in the food prep area. The video shows a man walking over to the deep sink and urinating in it. The same sink used to wash kitchen utensils and supplies. 

Mingo County Health Department was contacted regarding this video. On Tuesday morning, Brett Vance, the city's sanitarian, watched the video and went to the restaurant to temporarily close it. He said it will be temporarily closed until further notice. 

17 year old Bowen University student killed by cultists for “being too proud”

  

Opeyemi Odusanya, a 17 year old biochemistry student of Bowen University was brutally killed by cultists in the Alakukuo area of Lagos for allegedly rejecting their sexual advances.

The girl who had gone out to buy recharge cards in the neighborhood was alone at home when several boys believed to be cult members trailed her into her house and made her turn on the generator so that her screams would not be heard. After the generator was turned on the boys tried to rape her which caused a big struggle as the house was found in disarray, after this the boys stabbed her several times until her intestines came out and she died.

25-year-Old Woman Gives Birth To Stone After 4-years Of Being Pregnant

A young woman in Adamawa is said to have become the cynosure of all eyes after she gave birth to a stone.

25-year-old Amina Bello is said to have delivered of the sizable stone after being “pregnant” for a whopping four years.

Madam Bello is said to have disclosed this at the launching ceremony of a series of free treatments for victims of Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF).

Ghastly Auto Crash Claims 8 Lives Along Benin-Ore Expressway

At about 10am yesterday; Thursday Feb. 13, 2014, there was a ghastly motor accident along the "irreparable" Benin-Ore Expressway which involved a Mercedes Benz car with Registration number, MYS570XF and a truck with Registration number CT874FST. 

The Mercedes Benz which conveyed eight people;  two male adults, five female adults and one female child was totally damaged as well as the souls in it (na so 8 people just take die like that! Lord have mercy). Their bodies were deposited at the morgues of igbinedion and Emiloju Hospitals.

This is so sad and may God rest their souls in Peace.

Man runs away from his responsibility and abandons his wife who gave birth to Triplets

Why are some men so irresponsible? Mr. Adewale Omole is the husband of the woman and her triplets pictured above. They already had two children and this was the third pregnancy (that produced triplets) which led to his disappearance. How does he expect the woman to take care of 5 children all by herself? A Nigerian man who forced a teenager to have sex with him because she couldn't pay his cab fare

An Austin based cab driver Nelson Egwu (Nigerian) has been arrested by the police in Austin Texas for forcing a teenage passenger to perform a sex act when she told the driver she was unable to pay the fare.

The 17-year-old teen told police she had called the cab to take her to a friend's house but later realized she didn't have enough money for the fare. Egwu then allegedly drove to a parking lot where the assault occurred.
